Tours
Budapest Beer Tours offers four different routes and an extra option for individual requests. For details, please select from the list below:
1. The Craft Beer Cruise – Menu A
2. The Craft Beer Cruise – Menu B
4. A Czech Peek
+1. Tailor-Made Tour
The Craft Beer Cruise – Menu A
Our Menu A Beer Cruise includes tastings at four locations, all of them offering the very best of the Hungarian beers Budapest has for you. We try out draught beers made by Fóti Kézműves Sörfőzde and Kaltenecker (the latter one is actually in Slovakia, but only 5 kms behind the border, and has amazing beers, so we include it), and there is a varying element of the program which depends on actual supplies. This might include Kaltenberg beers or ones from Csobánkai Kézműves Sörfőzde. The visited bars are mostly among the fancier ones by Hungarian standards, therefore are not completely free of tourists – if it is a factor for you, please consider the Menu B Cruise.
We visit a beer store as well where the Ratebeer-star specialities of Békésszentandrási Sörfőzde can be tasted. A special millet beer is also available here.
Lenght: 3-4 hours

The Craft Beer Cruise – Menu B
Our Menu B Beer Cruise also includes four locations, but its goal is to introduce the mainstream of Hungarian craft beers – and also provide a less touristy, more authentic environment for the discovery. The beers that you can try out during this tour are mainly traditional lagers, brewed by small breweries in and around Budapest. The list includes beers from Osterbräu Domony, Mister, Rizmajer and Fóti Kézműves Sörfőzde. The latter one is also included in the Menu A Beer Cruise, but on this tour we visit a different pub selling different beers of the brewery.
The pubs enlisted in our Menu B Beer Cruise are much less well-known and frequented, most of them serve practically only locals. If you are looking for a more posh tour, please check out our Menu A Beer Cruise.
Lenght: 3-4 hours

If you can’t decide if you would rather like to focus on the unique beers or the less touristy mainstream, The Budapest Cross-Section is your tour. In this package we handpicked the five most characteristic beers and places from the Menu A and B Beer Cruises and give you a good summary of the Budapest craft beer scene.
The selection includes draught samples from the breweries Fóti Kézműves Sörfőzde, Kaltenecker, Osterbräu Domony and Rizmajer. One stop of the Budapest Cross-Section depends on daily supply: we can visit a pub with draught beer from the ale-brewing Csobánkai Kézműves Sörfőzde, or a beer store where we can taste the exceptional fruit beers of Békésszentandrási Sörfőzde.
Lenght: 4-5 hours

Although the main goal for Budapest Beer Tours is to introduce the Hungarian craft beer scene, we have to be proud that the city has got many excellent Czech pubs in the recent years that offer dozens of interesting beers, all from small and medium breweries. Our Czech Peek Tour lines up four pubs and at least ten different brands – such as Bernard, Černá Hora, Ferdinand, Postřižinské, Novopacké and many more.
Lenght: 3-4 hours

If you have your own concept for a beer tour, and you only need to help elaborate it, we are also happy to help. With our Tailor-Made Tour you can tell us what kind of beers you are interested in and Budapest Beer Tours will whip up a plan for you. If you would like to visit the Belgian bars, the beer stores or occasional beer festivals in Budapest, we are ready to help. Even if, for some reason, you would like to systematically test all the mass-produced Hungarian beers, feel free to ask for a Tailor-Made Tour.
Lenght: depends. For a detailed offer, please, contact us.
